Are you considering doing the DCP once it opens back up? Are you excited about the brand new campus that you could get to live at? Truth of the matter is you will just be missing out. I have no clue why you would want to live in this new housing complex that has simply ZERO history. You're telling me you want a stove that actually works in your apartment, I personally enjoyed trying to figure out which burner was going to work that evening for dinner. Also, in Flamingo crossing you won't have any option for 3 people to a room, I mean what is Disney thinking? I was top bunk in my room, no big deal. Then there is the laundry, don't even get me started on the laundry. That was my best time to get some exercise and stretch the legs because I got to walk down a couple flights of stairs and then probably a half mile to the laundry room. Not to mention getting to enjoy that nice Florida weather. I don't see any benefit of each unit in Flamingo Crossing having their own washer/dryer. Seems just preposterous in my opinion. Then there is the common area where Flamingo Crossing has their nice big Bayou pool, basketball courts, volleyball courts, workout center, gaming room, super cool themed group study rooms. But one amenity that it lacks is the nice prison fence around the entire perimeter just like good ole Vista Waaaaay.
Some may read this and think I am just a little salty, but you could not be more wrong. I feel sorry for any of you future DCP goers out there because you will never understand the true joys of the OG DCP housing.
